The following is a brief list of projects that Monfort Electronics has been involved with from initial design, quoting, programming and training on behalf of our various manufacturers and their integrators. Underlined projects are linked to a complete online application story.
Conseco Fieldhouse - Indianapolis, IN (1999): Home of the NBA's Indiana Pacers, this project was one of the first applications for the award winning SX850 Matrix System by Panasonic with nearly 100 cameras. Initially recording with Time Lapse VCR's, the system has since been upgraded with Panasonic's HD316 digital recorders. This was also one of the first projects for Identicard's Identipass Access Control system running on the Windows NT platform, featuring dozens of card readers for personell doors as well as overhead doors and gates.
Indianapolis Museum of Art - Indianapolis, IN (1999): Designed and installed the same time as Conseco Fieldhouse, this system also features the SX850 Matrix System along with integration to the Identipass system from Identicard. This system has since been added to and upgraded through various phases and renovations.
Chesterton High School - Chesterton, IN (1999): One of eight schools in the Duneland School Corporation, this project featured the expansive SX850 Matrix System by Panasonic with over 110 cameras monitoring the hallways and grounds of this newly constructed facility. Since then Panasonic cameras have been specified in a variety of Duneland's new construction and renovation projects.
Greektown Casino - Detroit, MI (2000): Yet another integrated system featuring Panasonic & Identicard systems, its safe to say Greektown is as secure as any casino on the Las Vegas Strip! It features the SX850 Matrix System with over 1100 cameras, dozens of monitors with multiple control points, over 450 TL VCR's for real time recording, and over 100 card readers to control who goes where and when! Since its original installation the recording has been updated to Panasonics RT416 Real Time Digital Recording solution.
Indiana State Museum - Indianapolis, IN (2002): Taking cues from the Conseco Fieldhouse and the Indianapolis Museum of Art security projects, this fully integrated CCTV & Access Control system also features Panasonic's SX850 Matrix System, SDII cameras & DVR's, and Identicard's Identipass system. This elaborate command center also features console and racking equipment from Atlas Sound.
Horseshoe Casino Parking Garage- Hammond, IN (2001): Securing a casino expands beyond the typical gaming and hotel floors, as patrons appreciate a sense of security in the parking garages/lots as well. Talk A Phone was called to duty with dozens of surface mounted phones and blue light/strobes in this new parking structure.
Purdue University - Lafayette & Calumet, IN (2005): When Purdue was looking for a new vendor to replace their antiquated emergency phones, Talk A Phone was called in to demonstrate and present their total system package. Since then thier products have been specified on projects ranging from parking lots, parking garages and student housing.
French Lick Resort & Casino - French Lick, IN (2006): This project features the Varizone system by Atlas Sound. Varizone is a revolutionary new audio technology with amazing configuration and control capabilities, featuring a PC based user interface and IP based amplifier modules. The power of Varizone far exceeds that of traditional systems designed around mixer/routers, rack mount amplifiers and 70/100V systems.
Kentucky Dept. of Transportation - Frankfort, KY (2002): Securing a main facility in the heart of Kentucky's state capital, as well as monitoring interstate travel requires dozens of cameras. Once again Panasonic's SX850 Matrix System was called on to handle the switching, control and viewing of over 100 Super Dynamic II cameras while the first generation HD500 handled the digital recording.
Ford Field - Detroit, MI (2002): Home of the NFL's Detroit Lions. This stadium also played host to the 2007 Super Bowl "XL", Third and Fourth rounds of the 2008 NCAA (March Madness) Mens Basketball Tournament, and the upcomng 2009 NCAA Final Four. The Jewel of Mo-Town, this system includes over 90 Panasonic cameras, (80+ are PTZ's). Each camera is sent to the control center via fiber, the P/T/Z's using IFS modems VT/VR1505WDM. The cameras feed into a Panasonic WJ-SX550C Matrix Switch which integrates via a RS232 connection with the Access Control System for instant camera call up to the appropriate monitor. All activity is recorded on 6 Panasonic DVR's. Upgrades for the future includes the new WJ-SX650 Matrix Switch and Panasonic's WJ-HD316A Digital Video Recorders.
Community Hospital Network - Indianapolis, IN (2000's): An ever expanding and changing system, this collection of hospital campuses features a networked & partitioned Identipass access control system by Identicard, with 100's of reader controlled doors. Community Hospitals has also standardized on Talk A Phone emergency phone towers in each or their parking lots for direct communication to the security command center.
Great American Ballpark - Cincinnati, OH (2003): Home of MLB's Cincinnati Reds, this stadium features another SX850 Matrix System by Panasonic, which handles the switching, monitoring and control of nearly 100 Super Dynamic II cameras. Recording is handled by the first generation HD500 series digital recorders. Video transmission is handled via fiber, utilizing IFS modems.
CVG International Airport - Cincinnati, OH (2006): Securing every door in a facility with hard-wired access control can be very cumberson and expensive, thats why CVG chose Kaba Access to secure its secondary doors with both mechanical and electronic, stand-alone locksets. The industry standard Simplex 1000 is called to duty for doors requiring only a single push-button code in order to eliminate keys, while the more robust Eplex 5200 is utilized on doors requiring multiple user codes, access control groups & schedules, and audit trail capabilites.
Allen County Public Libraries - Ft. Wayne, IN (2005): With a brand new main library facility in downtown Ft. Wayne and several branches around the county, Panasonics totall CCTV solution was utilized to provide video survelliance and recording. The main facilty features over 100 cameras, an SX850 Matrix System, and HD300 series digital recorders while each branch has a separate Panasonic camera and DVR system - all featuring networked remote viewing & control capability.
Hardin Memorial Hospital - Louisville, KY (2007): Yet another ever-expanding and changing security system, this project was recently upgraded with dozens of Panasonic's new CF294 indoor mini-dome camera along with an SX850 Matrix System to handle all the switching, monitoring & controls. Panasonic's HD300 series digital recorder was also called on for recording duties.
Hamilton Southeastern Schools - Fishers, IN (2000's): As one of Indianapolis' largest and fastest growing school systems (over 15,000 students), security has been a key focus as new facilities are brought online. Now with two high-schools, five intermediates and eleven elementaries, HSE has called on Panasonic's Super Dynamic II & III fixed cameras for hallway duties while PTZ cameras handle outdoor duties. Each building has from 9 to 32 cameras being fed into Panasonic's HD300 series recorders for live & network viewing, camera control and recording & storage.
AM General/Hummer - Mishawaka, IN (2004): As the manufacturer of the United States Military's multi-purpose vehicle (Humvee) since 1985, and of course the general public versions H1 and H2 since 1999, AM General needed a ADA compliant system for Government and Military personell tours and training. Williams Sound Tour Guide System (TGS Pro) uses RF transmitters and recievers to assure everyone can hear at the same level. AM General facilities also featuer over 50 of Panasonics Super Dynamic II & III cameras for suveillance purposes.
IND Weir Cook Terminal - Indianapolis, IN (2008): Slated to open on Veteran's Day of 2008, this new midfield terminal at Indianapolis International Airport features a few of our principal's products. Kaba Access has been called on to supply over 80 of the new Simplex 5000 mechanical push-button locksets for all of their secondary doors. Talk A Phone's ETP-MT/R's and ETP-WM's will house over 75 emergency phones (ETP-400DV), while the ETP-TAL Talk Alert software handles all the system monitoring and diagnostics. And finally Atlas Sound's ceiling mounted paging speakers and wall mounted paging horns will handle communication duties from the IED software based audio management system.
Toledo Children's Hospital Renaissance Center - Toledo, OH (2007): With over 200 existing cameras on an exising SX650 Matrix (viewed and controlled from the Operation Center) 170 new cameras including the WV-CF294, WV-CW484 and WV-CW964 were pulled to the data closet of the Renaissance Center, where an SX-650 Expansion was installed. Video from the monitor outputs was brought back via fiber and the control data via Ethernet. A Main Processing Unit (WJ-MPU955A) was added to the system and the Operation Center now has seamless control of both locations. All cameras are recorded to Panasonic's WJ-HD316A's that are also seamlessly tied into the matrix switch so any joystick controller has the ability to control or playback any camera on any monitor.
